All men must choose between two paths. Good is the path of honour, friends and family. Evil... well, it's just cooler. Hit it!

sick...
i haven't fell real sick for a long while...but just yesterday i almost hugged the toilet bowl and retched to sleep :(
i didn't know the side effects of the pills i took would be so bad...SIGH. i swore never to touch them again. maybe i should have brought some magic *M* back to cut back the effect! haha....*kidding.
i went back to work for a short while today...and those who saw me actually said i looked better and seemed to have put on some weight! that's great...i think i'm slowly recovering...regaining. this is what i need.

early cheer
this year, we are in the mood early. i remember i couldn't get into the mood last year.
i guess this has got to do with the early jingles, the early deco....the early holidays (a sunny one though!)
i went on a vacation without much expectations; basically to take a break and capture some nice moments on film. and...i really enjoyed it!
i got really good pictures too. of the cloud covered volcano...the wonderous terraces, the thunderous waves crashing the cliff, and the golden sundowns.
i got quite bit of sun too :) i dressed like a surfer everyday. add a surfboard strapped to my shoulder and i can pass off as one (who can't swim! haha).
i'm already thinking of christmas. thinking of what gifts to buy...what events and plays to go to (there's already one i'm going to but i can't remember when and where!), which movies to catch. :p
this will be a good christmas.

golden words meted
sometime ago...well, to be exact, sometime in my birthday month, while J was having dinner with me..
she said:
"the person you have by your side today, possesses 80% of the traits you look for in the person whom you can grow old with. but humans being humans (none being infalliable), tend to look for that missing 20%. in doing so, you failed to realise that you are actually short-changing yourself - gaining 20%, yet losing 80%"
well-said, profound.
after knowing how traumatised i was at work, K couldn't take it and got me a motivational book by an ah-neh.
i didn't think much of it at first since i could talk it out and bounce myself out of most situations - sans the times when i asked "do you think everything's going to be alright?" and getting shrugs :(
i used to get pats on my back and a reassuring "yes". i guess maybe it's getting difficult to reassure me because of the sticky position i'm in.
so i need a book:
"There are so many lessons in this life we just don't want to learn. Wisdom only comes the hard way. Perhaps the things that break our hearts are the very things that serve to open them."
Brillant.
